McLean Museum

The McLean Museum has served as the main museum in the Inverclyde area since it opened in 1876 and has many displays for the visitor to discover and explore.  It has many fine collections in a number of different fields offering a wide range of wonderful objects for your enjoyment. In addition to outstanding collections of local material from the Inverclyde area, the Museum offers displays and collections drawn from many cultures across 3,000 years of human history.

The Museum is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.00-17.00. Please note however that it may be necessary to close for lunch from 12.00-13.00 from time to time. The Museum is closed on public holidays
